Hello. My name is Marie-Ève Lehoux. It's my third year studying in Business Management. My glossary will be for every who want to improve their knowledge for words in the business field. To create this glossary, I used of words that I deemed relevant in the example on www.labodanglais.com and I completed it all with research Google by selecting French management words and acronyms learned in our administrative technique. I hope readers will learn new English terms from reading my glossary because, in my opinion, everything that concerns the business world use very technical terms. There are precise words to be used to be most professional and ensure a good understanding between companies or with clients. This glossary allows introducing to concepts in the administrative field that is very important to master in order to have a better expertise in the English language of business. Actively managed funds
Phrase
An actively managed ETF is a form of exchange-traded fund that has a manager or team making decisions on the underlying portfolio allocation, otherwise not adhering to a passive investment strategy.

AIDA
Acronym
An acronym used in sales that stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, Action. They are the four steps of purchase funnel wherein customers travel from awareness to purchase. • Attention – The consumer becomes aware of a category, product or brand (usually through advertising). • Interest – The consumer becomes interested in learning about brand benefits & how the brand fits with a lifestyle. • Desire – The consumer develops a favorable disposition towards the brand. • Action – The consumer forms a purchase intention, shops around, engages in trial or makes a purchase.
Example: To be effective the marketing communications should follow the AIDA model.

Acronym
An acronym used in sales. Stands for Budget, Authority, Need and Timeline, and it's a framework that can be used to determine how qualified a lead is to work with your company and determine which leads should be prioritized. • B = Budget: Determines whether your prospect has a budget for what you're selling. • A = Authority: Determines whether your prospect has the authority to make a purchasing decision. • N = Need: Determines whether there's a business need for what you're selling. • T = Timeline: Determines the time frame for implementation.
Example: Don't forget, use the B.A.N.T method to properly target and prioritize the importance of your customers and prospects!
